Dr. Martin Arrigan
MB, BCh, BAO, BSc(Pharm), FFR(RCSI),

Dr. Arrigan is a medical graduate of Trinity College Dublin. He completed his radiology training in St. James’s Hospital Dublin and subsequently underwent fellowship training in Neuroradiology in Vancouver General Hospital and Musculoskeletal Radiology in the University of Toronto. He was appointed Consultant Radiologist in Vancouver in 2017 and subsequently returned to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in 2023.
Dr. Patricia Cunningham

Dr. Cunningham is a medical graduate of University College Dublin (1995). She completed her radiology training in St Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin and subsequently underwent fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology in New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases. She was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist to the same institution, and returned to Our Lady’s Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in 2007. Dr. Cunningham has served as the Dean of the Faculty of Radiologists and Radiation Oncologists from 2022 to 2024.
Dr. Candice Galea

Dr. Galea is a medical graduate of the University of Malta. She completed her radiology training in Glasgow, Scotland and was appointed as Consultant Radiologist with specialist interest in musculoskeletal radiology in January 2018. She underwent an MSK fellowship at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada in trauma and sports injury imaging. Following this she returned to her consultant post in Glasgow at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Nuffield Health Private Hospital. She then subsequently was appointed as a Consultant MSK Radiologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in 2022.
Dr. James P Hamill

Dr. Hamill is a medical graduate of the Queen’s University Belfast (1995). He subsequently achieved Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000 having trained for 5 years in General Surgery, Paediatric surgery, Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, Neurosurgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Hamill then trained in Radiology on the Northern Ireland Radiology Training Scheme and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists London in 2004. Dr. Hamill underwent fellowship training in Paediatric Radiology and Interventional Radiology. He has been a Consultant Radiologist working in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda from 2005.
Dr. John M Hanson

Dr. John Hanson is a medical graduate of the RCSI (1995). He completed his radiology training in the All Wales Radiology training program and Beaumont Hospital. He subsequently underwent fellowship training in Abdominal Cross sectional imaging in Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto followed by a Vascular and Interventional Fellowship in the University Hospital Network, Toronto. He was appointed Consultant Radiologist in 2005 and permanently appointed in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in 2006.
Dr. Liam Kavanagh

Dr. Kavanagh graduated from RCSI in 2006 and went on to complete his radiology training in Beaumont Hospital Dublin. He subsequently underwent fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology in the National Orthopedic Hospital Cappagh, and with John of God’s Hospital group Perth, Western Australia. He was awarded his MD in 2016, was appointed consultant Musculoskeletal Diagnostic and Interventional radiologist in Perth in 2017, and following that appointed at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda in 2019.
Dr. Andrea Masterson

Dr. Masterson is a medical graduate of the RCSI (1994). She completed her radiology training in Beaumont Hospital and subsequently underwent fellowship training in Breast and Abdominal imaging. She was appointed Consultant Radiologist to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in 2004.

Aidan Quinn

Professor Quinn is a medical graduate of Trinity College Dublin, and underwent fellowship training in neuroradiology and cross-sectional imaging at the Hammersmith Hospital in London. Professor Quinn was appointed as a consultant radiologist in Drogheda in 1997.
Dr. Mihaela Luminita Sirbu

Dr. Mihaela Sirbu is a medical graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Targu Mures, (1999). She completed her radiology specialist training in Coltea University Hospital, Bucharest, Romania in 2005. She worked as a consultant radiologist in the Paediatric hospital in Pitesti, Arges, Romania. She has worked as a consultant radiologist in Ireland since 2008 and was permanently appointed at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda in 2011.
Dr. Michael Slattery

Dr. Slattery is a medical graduate of University College Galway (2001) having already been awarded a BSc (Hons) degree. He was awarded an MD by thesis in 2005 and is widely published. He completed his radiology training at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Dr. Slattery then went on to complete subspecialist training in Interventional Radiology at Vancouver General Hospital and the University of British Columbia Hospital in Canada and further subspecialist training in abdominal imaging and body MRI at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust – Addenbrooke’s Hospital, UK. He has practiced as a permanent consultant radiologist in Ireland with the HSE since 2012. He has been a consultant radiologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda since 2016 and is currently the lead clinician in the Department of Radiology, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Dr. J Albert Soye

Dr. Soye is a medical graduate of the Queen’s University Belfast (1998), and completed his radiology training on the Northern Ireland Radiology Training Scheme in 2009, having undertaken a fellowship training in Paediatric Radiology in Belfast and Glasgow. Dr. Soye was appointed a consultant radiologist in Belfast in February 2009, and has worked as a consultant radiologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda since February 2011.
